Men’s Fashion Week as proven to be, yet again, a tale of two very different halves. On one side of the bench we have the Saville Row tailors and ay London Collections: Men has attracted more celebrities (think Ronnie Wood and Tinie Tempah) and more world class models (Anja Rubik and the eternally gorgeous David Gandy) than ever, cementing its status as the coolest and freshest menswear show week on the fashion circuit.

There was more comical and theatrical style dress to be had on day two at London Collections: Men as Vivienne Westwood showcased models in pirate-like attire complete with Jack Sparrow style eye patches at Harrods.

Black and white monochrome too returned as seen as Christopher Shannon as did heritage checks in the form of tweed suits at Richard James and, at YMC similarly, who sent models down the runway in navy and green checked jackets. Speaking of outerwear, leather also re-surfaced on the catwalks for autumn/winter 2013 and honing the trend was British designer Oliver Spencer who presented traditional tan versions complete with cream shearling collars.

Day 1 at London Collections: Men Autumn/Winter 2013 was a real fashion hot-potch as menswear designers mixed classic with comical.

Presenting fashion’s favourite winter staple aka tartan, was British menswear starlet, Lou Dalton whose Scottish check clad collection nodded aptly to her signature Teddy Boy style. In similar style, Brit menswear label, Hackett London presented gentrified dark tweed suits with man about town bowling hats complete with checked weekend bags and knitted scarfs.  While at Hentsch Man a comparable city scene emerged as models dressed in fine tailored jackets and slim fit knit trousers posed in front of graffiti clad murals.
